Paris Olympics 2024 ended on August 11, with India finishing in 71st place with one silver medal and five bronze medals. 117 athletes from India participated in the Paris Olympics. The US topped the table with 126 medals.
Athletes from Shooting, Wrestling, Hockey, and Javelin throw shine in the Paris Olympics. Manu Bhaker started India’s winning streak at the Paris Olympics she won Bronze in women’s 10m pistol shooting. Manu Bhaker and Sarabjot Singh won bronze in Mixed 10m Air Pistol Shooting. Manu Bhaker created records by becoming the only Indian woman to win a medal in the Olympics and the only Indian to win two Olympic medals in a single Olympic tournament.

Neeraj Chopra clinched silver in the Javelin throw. Swapnil Kusale in shooting, and Aman Sehrawat in wrestling won bronze. Indian Hockey team won bronze and continued their medal-winning streak in the Olympics.
Winners of Olympics
Indian Shooting contingents clinched the most medals in the Paris Olympics. Swapnil Kusale age 28 won bronzde in men’s 50m Rifle. In the World Championship and Asian Games in finished fourth but he raised in the finals and secured 3rd position. In women’s s 10m pistol Mnau Bhaker won bronze, and in Mixed 10m Air Pistol Manu Bhaker and Sarabjot Singh won bronze.’
Neeraj Chopra gold medalist in the Javelin throw of 2020 Tokyo Olympics won Silver in 2024 Paris Olympics. He directly qualified for the finals he recorded a throw of 89.34m in his first throw and topped in table. In the finals, he recorded 89.45m and secured silver behind Arshad Nadeem from Pakistan 92.97m who recorded 92.97m and won gold in Javelin throw.
Indian Hockey team missed out on their chance of winning gold or silver when they lost 2-3 to Germany in the Semi but won in the bronze final and defeated Spain 2-1 claiming back-to-back medals in the Olympics now this has become the 13th Olympic hockey medal for India.
Aman Sehrawat kept the medal-winning streak of India in wrestling which started in 2008, Aman won he beat Puerto Rico’s Darian Toi Cruz 13-5 and secured bronze. At the age of 21 Aman became India’s youngest Olympic winner.
India’s Misfortunes in Paris
India faced two great losses in wrestling the disqualification of Vinesh Phogat put the whole nation in shock. Vinesh had a tough year with protests against the Wrestling Federation Of India she didn’t train for months but when she beat the unbeaten Yui Susaki and every question which were raised upon her was down and she became the hope of the whole nation because her record of 2-0 against Sarah Hildebrandt and a great performance was surely expected from her. But she was found 100 gm excess on the day of weight-in and was disqualified from the tournament this time Vinesh was competing in the 50 kg category.
Antim Panghal one more potential medal winner was disqualified from the tournament due to misconduct. In weightlifting, Mirabai Chanu completed on fourth position. In Badminton Star player PV Sindhu returned medal less the young face of Badminton in India Lakshya Sen completed fourth in tournament.
