Virat Kohli on the importance of Nutritional Value 

In a recent episode of The Ranveer Show, broadcaster Jatin Sapru shared that during one IPL season, Virat Kohli strictly followed his diet without getting distracted. Kohli’s approach to fitness is disciplined and focused. He prioritises nutritional value over taste preferences. Sapru mentioned that he eats based on his body’s specific nutritional requirements. 

Virat’s disciplined habits 

When Jatin Sapru was traveling on a flight with Virat Kohli he observed that he was carrying a large bag containing a coffee set, a net set, and a protein bar set, that is timed for consumption every half an hour. He highlighted that Kohli’s strict routine and discipline adhere to nutritional schedule with precision. Sapru stated that Kohli’s dedication extends to priorities that might be considered mundane or repetitive. Maintaining discipline habits is one of the most challenging aspects of his regimen.

5 key lessons by Virat Kohli’s regimen

  1. Workouts– Virat Kohli adheres to high-intensity workouts comprising strength training, cardio, and agility exercises to enhance strength, endurance, and flexibility, and crucial for maintaining peak performance in cricket. 
  2. Training schedule– Discipline is the core of Kohli’s fitness regimen. He maintains a consistent training schedule year-round, for prioritising workouts even when he is on breaks to sustain his fitness levels. 
  3. Diet Plan– Kohli’s diet plan is meticulously tailored to support his intense training and cricket matches. Meals are one of the strategies to optimize energy levels and aid recovery. 
  4. Mindful Nutrition–  Nutrition is central to Kohli’s approach, he focuses on the quality rather than the quantity of food. His diet includes a variety of nutrition-dense foods such as fruits, vegetables, and lean proteins to promote overall well-being.
