Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s niece, actor Sharmin Segal, has been in the news regarding her portrayal of Alamzeb. She was brutally trolled not only for her acting but also for her viral promotional interviews.

Sharmin Segal’s promotional video of Heeramandi went viral after the release of the series. The viewers thought she was ‘disrespectful’ and ‘rude’ towards her Heeramandi co-actors. Recently, in an interview, she opened up about the trolls. Sharmin revealed that her co-stars, such as Richa Chadha and Aditi Rao, dared to stand up for her amid all the trolling. She added that her co-stars were courageous people who came out and spoke for her.

Sharmin Segal-Aditi Rao Hydari rift rumors
The actor said that some of them personally reached out to her, but to step out for her on public platforms, she wanted to hug Aditi as she and Sharmin looked out for her. Aditi is one of the people who actively called her, checked in, and ensured that she was alright throughout the month. Segal further stated that she had been completely judged wrong and that the viewers had made misrepresentations of her equation with Aditi.

Sharmin’s statement on being judged
Sharmin’s performance as Alamzeb in Heeramandi attracted mixed negative reactions from critics and fans, adding that judging or labeling someone as a bad and rude person without knowing them is unfair. It was unfair, and it had bothered her to some extent.
