Actor-turned-politician and Jana Sena Party President Konidela Pawan Kalyan took charge on Wednesday as the Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, holding the responsibilities of panchayat raj and rural development, rural water supply, environment, forests, science, and technology.

Pawan Kalyan’s first move
Pawan Kalyan entered his camp office in Vijayawada amidst Vedic hymns by persists. He took his chair at around 10:30 AM after conducting special prayers for Lord Venkateshwara. The Deputy chief minister of Andhra Pradesh signed two files: one on linking the Mahatma Gandhi National Employment Guarantee program with horticulture works and the other on construction of gram panchayat buildings in tribal cases.
Naidu to grant High Priority to Pawan Kalyan
Pawan Kalyan is a first-time MLA and minister, Telugu Desam Party President and Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has granted him high priority in the coalition government of the NDA. Apart from being the Jana Sena Chief, Naidu has instructed everyone that Pawan Kalyan will get equal importance in terms of protocol and other facilities at all government functions and meetings.
Chandrababu Naidu’s respectful gesture
The TDP leader said that Pawan Kalyan has been allotted a convoy of bulletproof vehicles, which no other colleagues have. Naidu has instructed that all public service officers and institutions should have framed photographs of both the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister. This shows that Chandrababu Naidu wants everyone to respect both of them equally. Naidu also got the Cabin allotted for ‘Power Star’ in block 2 of the state secretariat.

The Honor of Guard for Pawan Kalyan
On Tuesday when Pawan Kalyan entered the secretariat for the first time to inspect the chambers, he was presented with the Guard of Honor welcome by the police. The TDP leader stated that it was a rare privilege for Pawan Kalyan. Before this, the Chief Ministers only received the Guard of Honor.
