Preethi Pal an Indian Paralympian on September 1, 2024, created history by winning her second medal in the T35 category at Paris Paralympic. She won a bronze medal in the women’s 200 m T35 category with her personal best of 30.01 secs.
In a Paralympic track event, Preethi Pal secured India’s first athletics medal on August 30, 2024, winning a bronze in the women’s T35 100m category with her best time of 14.21 seconds. She is the second Para-athletics who won a medal in the Paris Paralympic.

What is T35?
T35 is a category for Para athletes who have coordination impairments like hypertonia, ataxia, and athetosis.
About Preethi Pal
Preethi Pal 23 is from Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh, and was initially trained in Merrut and then moved to New Delhi to train at synthetic track. She was diagnosed with cerebral Palsy after diagnosis her condition affected her movement.

Athletes won in T35 category in 200m and 100m
Preethi Pal finished behind China’s Zhou Xia with 28.15 secs and Gou Qianqian with 29.09 secs in 200m. Qian is the defending champion of the 100m and two-time world champion in both the 100m and 200m.
