West Bengal with a turnout of 82.7% became the highest ballot in Phase 6 of Lok Sabha elections. Uttar Pradesh, on the other hand, stood at the lowest of the spectrum with a voter turnout of 54.3 %. These figures, however, do not count for the postal ballots as they are accounted for on the day of the result.
The seven States and Union Territories where the voters cast their votes were UP with Fourteen seats, Haryana with Ten, and Eight seats for Bihar and Bengal. NCT Delhi accounted for Seven seats followed by Four for Jharkhand and One for Jammu & Kashmir. Odisha however, is conducting both the Lok Sabha and the Assembly elections, simultaneously. These ballots were ready to decide the fates of 889 candidates in total.

The Sixth-phase voter turnout revised, post Sunday evening polls
Odisha saw the most significant rise of 4.9%, followed by 4.4% in Haryana and 3.2 % in West Bengal. Jharkhand, Bihar, Jammu Kashmir, and NCT Delhi saw approximately a one percent rise. After this significant increase, West Bengal stands with 82.7% voter turnout. UP, on the other hand, stood at the same percentage of 54.3.
Jammu Kashmir’s Anantnag- Rajouri seat recorded a groundbreaking voter turnout of 51.35, the highest in 35 years, as expressed by the Election Commission Of India. Odisha, Haryana, and NCT Delhi stood at 74.5, 64.8 and 58.7 percent respectively. Jharkhand and Bihar also stood at 63.76 and 55.24 percent.
The EVM votes as recorded on the app by Sunday evening are considered to be the final percentage of the sixth phase of this election as no more polls are scheduled after this. However, the commission will publish the final voter turnout of this sixth phase of Lok Sabha elections on May 30th.

ECI Received 954 complaints During polls
“The Election Commission of India has received 954 complaints until 11 a.m. from various political parties, alleging EVM malfunctions and agents being stopped from entering booths,” an official of the State poll panel said.
61.20% as of 11:45 pm, was the voter turnout on Saturday which spiked to 63.4% on Sunday evening. The Election Commission Of India expressed grave concern for this lowest voter turnout and claimed the rising temperatures in Delhi, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh, to be the primary reason for the same.
The violence sparked in a few districts of West Bengal
Ghatal, Medinipur, and Tamluk Lok Sabha Constituencies of West Bengal recorded multiple Incidents of violence. A Panchayat-level leader of TMC was allegedly killed in East Medinipore district hours before the polling began, resulting in intermittent phases of clashes between TMC and BJP workers.
BJP Jhargram candidate, Pranat Tudu, was captured running with his security personnel to escape the massive stone pelting. “Mamata Banerjee is murdering democracy in Bengal. Now, TMC goons attack BJP’s Jhargram (a Tribal seat) candidate,” Amit Malviya, BJP’s IT cell head, wrote on X.
With this sixth phase of elections seeing the day of light, voting has been completed in 28 states and 486 constituencies. The Final and the last phase will begin on June 1 for the remaining 57 seats, with the final counting taking place on the fourth of June.
