Why was the movie’s release delayed?
The release date was postponed during the Lok Sabha Elections. Kangana is the lead actress, writer, director, and producer of Emergency. Manikarnika Films Production is producing the upcoming political drama. It was previously scheduled to be released on November 24, 2023.

Prime Minister Indira Gandhi imposed an emergency in India from 1975 to 1977. She declared a state of emergency across the country by citing internal and external threats to the country. The decision was announced in a broadcast on All India Radio and came shortly after the Supreme Court granted a conditional stay on the Allahabad High Court verdict, declaring Gandhi’s election to the Lok Sabha.
