Jewar Airport is Nodia’s much-awaited airport, it is nearing its completion and planning to kickstart passenger services this October. This is one of the mega projects which is all set to become India’s biggest airport upon its inauguration and third in the National Capital Region (NCR), following Delhi airport and Hindon base in Ghaziabad.
The airport will be linked with six routes, rapid rail cum metro and pod taxis.

To ensure that there is a smooth operation and access, a 31 km greenfield expressway is being built to connect the Jewar Airport to the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway at Ballabhgarh.
Arun Vir Singh, the CEO of Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) stated that the National Highway Authority of India ( NHAI) is also constructing a 750-metre lane road to connect the expressway with the Jewar Airport.
An 8.2km long and 30-metre wide road is built towards the north and east of the airport, costing INR 63 Cr, and set to be ready within eight months.
Besides this they are also building a VIP road, facilitating direct passage from the Yamuna Expressway to the Noida airport, specially to VIPs and emergencies, said the YEIDA chief.

The Detailed Project Report of the Rapid Rail cum metro rail has been approved, the efforts are however in progress to secure the funding from Government. The researchers are finding a solution for the implementation of the Pod taxi monorail, which may conclude within 2 years.
