FMCG Star Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL), on Wednesday 8th Feb 2024, announced key changes in the Top-level management, changes will take effect from 1st of April, 2024.
Kartik Chandrasekhar who was appointed as executive director of personal care business, has now decided to quit and thus will not be part of HUL. On the other hand, Madhav Rao who is currently looking after the BPC, will oversee the personal care division on an interim basis until the replacement is pronounced.
Who will be new Executive Director
Shiv Krishnamurthy will be the executive director, food & refreshment succeeding Srinandan Sundaram whereas Sundaram will take over the homecare as ED replacing Deepak Subramanian who is transitioning to a new role outside India.
Subramanian was a leader of robust growth of fabric care and home & hygiene categories during his tenure. He also headed the sustainability and ESG efforts of the conglomerate. With expertise in marketing Shiv Krishnamurthy, who is currently serving the food & refreshment division of South Asia will now be the ED of the same category for the company. He has successfully led various initiatives such as the growth of Lifebuoy and Lux in skin cleansing and the leadership of the South Asia tea business as well.
Contribution of Outgoing ED Sundaram’s
Outgoing ED Sundaram’s contribution was immense, he facilitated competitive growth in the health food and drink business of HUL. He laid down the groundwork for penetration in food categories and advanced HUL’s agenda on regenerative agriculture and nutrition.
Needless to say, CEO & MD Rohit Jawa, has praised the incoming and outgoing EDs for their remarkable contributions. He highlighted Krishnamurthy’s marketing prowess and Sundaram’s track record in general management and customer development.
