Marking its release on June 27, 2024 – the film has swiftly managed to touch the 1000-crore mark owing to its cinematic astuteness and impeccable visuals.
Producers Announce the Release of the Film’s Second Installment
In conversation with News18, Priyanka & Swapna Dutt made an official revelation stating that the film is all set for the big release in the upcoming five to six months. The producers claim feeling a lot more confident for the audience to witness the second part of the film, now that the audience has successfully grasped the idea and energy of the it.
The Director’s Cut: Naga Ashwin’s Vision
“Whatever we did for part one, we were all just going by Nag Ashwin’s vision. It often happens that you don’t understand most of the things until you actually see the visuals. Now that we’ve seen everything that Nagi [Nag Ashwin] has done and understood the way the audience has received it, we’re going on to part two with an altogether different energy,’ said Swapna Dutt.
The Part 2 Madness: What to expect?
The upcoming part is said to center its attention around Kamal Hasan’s character, that of Yaskin – the villain in the film.
The sequel shall release after a long wait of 3 years which is expected to hype up the madness surrounding the developments in the film.

“The sequel could possibly be divided into two parts” hints Prabhas
Prabhas dropped some very crucial hints pointing towards the division of the sequel into two different parts. Some of its parts have already been shot in the earlier schedules, alongside the filming of the first part.
“Kalki 2898 AD” is enjoying its share of fame across both the OTT platforms, Amazon PrimeVideo & Netflix after having scored huge numbers during the course of its theatrical release.
What awaits the audience now is the banging release of the second part as well as fresh updates on the evolution of the story in the sequel.
