The heavy dust storms, thunderstorms and gusty winds occurred in India’s capital on Friday night after the scorching heat. The storm has affected the state which has led to massive destruction of trees, and kutcha houses, and caused chaos on the street.
The Indian Meteorological Department had issued a warning earlier for the same, which stated “ Gusty winds [at 2200 hrs of IST today] reported [kmp] over Delhi: Ujwa 77 mph, Jafrapur 57 mph, Lodhi road 61 kmph, Pragati Maidan 63 kmph, Pitampura 57 kmph, Narayana 50 kmph, Najafgarh 40 kmph”.

The Storm occurrence swept the city
The storm not only affected the city’s infrastructure, trees and electrical poles but also affected the Humans very much which led to Two deaths, 23 of them were injured. This is probably one of the strongest storms that has occurred over the years. We have heard about the electricity cut, falling of trees but a storm which has blown away people to death and left them injured is very disheartening and a sad note to humanity.
Apart from this the officials received enormous calls out of which 152 calls were made to the police, and 130 were made to Delhi Fire Service which was regarding the electricity poles, hoardings and trees.

Nine flights were diverted at the Delhi airport Friday due to bad weather, an official said. It is now important to see how the city tackles these hurdles and withstand together in these situations.
