The CBI on Thursday revealed how the NEET -UG paper leak was carried out in Hazaribagh. CBI has made 36 arrests so far linked to the NEET – UG 2024 paper leak. CBI has arrested the mastermind and other people who are associated with the NEET-UG 2024 paper leak.
Masterminds, Solvers, and Allied
The national investigation agency CBI (Central Bureau of Investigation) on Thursday revealed that NEET – UG 2024 question papers were stolen from the Oasis School Hazaribagh, by the mastermind Pankaj Kumar with the help of Ehsanul Haque the principal of the Oasis School Hazaribagh, he was the NTA city coordinator too and the vice principal of the Oasis School Imtiaz Ali who was also the Centre Superintendent.

The stolen question papers were solved by by the MBBS students of AIIMS Patna, RIMS Ranchi, and a Medical College in Bharatpur. Pankaj Kumar the mastermind of the paper is a 2017 batch civil engineer from NIT Jamshedpur. CBI arrested Pankaj Kumar on Saturday, May 20 and two MBBS students – Kumar Mangalam Bishnoi a 2nd year student Deepender Sharma a 1st year student of a Medical college in Bharatpur, Rajasthan. Five MBBS students are also arrested for solving and being part of the team. Sashikant Paswan B.Tech graduate from NIT Jamshedpur and Rockey were the partners of Pankaj Kumar, Rockey was arrested by CBI earlier.
Stealing, Solving and Selling
On the Morning of May 05 2024 the trunk containing question paper NEET-UG 2024 arrived at Oasis School and was put in the control room. After the question reached the school the principal and the vice principal gave the illegal access of the control to Pankaj Kumar he broke the trunk and stole the question paper.
The stolen question paper was solved by MBBS students of AIIMS Patna, RIMS Ranchi, and a medical college Bharatpur who were brought, paid, and accommodated in a guest house in Hazaribagh. On the morning of the examination day, the MBBS students solved the stolen question paper. 120 selected students paid and bought the solved papers. The students have made some advance payments and INR 20 Lakh through a post-dated cheque.

Investigation so far
The whole stealing, solving, and selling came to light through a half-burnt question paper that took the CBI (Central Bureau of Investigation) to the Oasis School Hazaribagh, the NEET examination center of the city. CBI has searched 33 locations all over the country and made 36 arrests so far. The search for the students who bought the solved question papers is still on and so the investigation is.
