TATA Group owned Air India introduced a new feature called “Fare Lock” on Wednesday that allows passengers to lock a selected flight fare for 48 hours in order to allow passengers to chalk out their travel plans with greater ease. As per the new feature, travellers can reserve the rates by paying a nominal, non-refundable fee from their end, precisely as they confirm their travel plans.
How to access the feature?
Travellers who want to enjoy this feature can access it from the website of Air India i.e. www.airindia.com or its mobile application. Customers can select the flight options as per their travel plan and select the Fare Lock option and enjoy the new feature.
Afterwards, in order to confirm their booking, customers can use the “Manage Booking” option to go back to their reservations on the website or mobile app and confirm their reservations at the pre-selected prices.
Flight Date should be 10 days Away from Booking Date
Passengers have to keep in mind that this feature is only applicable to flight options that are at least 10 days away from the date of the booking service, hence providing a considerable amount of time to plan your travel accordingly.
