Open fire by Terrorists

According to reports, gunfire was detected in the area between Uddan Bagi and Dheri Goth in the Dessa district of Doda at approximately 7.45 pm. The confrontation began when the terrorists who were concealed in the woods unexpectedly began shooting at a group of security forces conducting searches in the vicinity. The security forces fought back and the shooting between both parties persisted for almost thirty minutes.

Further engagement and injuries

Following a short gun battle, the terrorists attempted to flee but were pursued by the soldiers under the command of an officer, despite the difficult terrain and dense vegetation. This resulted in another exchange of gunfire around 9 pm on Monday which resulted in at least 5 soldiers getting injured.
