Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant are getting married on July 12. They have started with their pre-wedding festivities. On July 2 Anant Amabni was spotted at the Krishna Kali temple and performed havan, the Ambani family conducted a Mass Marriage for the underprivileged. The pre-wedding celebrations began with the traditional Gujarati rituals starting with the Mameru Ceremony.
What is Mameru Ceremony?
The Mameru ceremony is a Gujarati wedding tradition, which means the Maternal uncle (Mama) of the bride comes to her house with sweets and gifts. This ceremony is very important for the bride and groom as the groom and his family visit with the gifts, sarees, and jewels and bless the couple.

Where was the Mameru Ceremony held?
The video went viral of Radhika and Anant Ambani stepping inside the Antilia residence. The Ceremony was held at Antilia, the residence was lit up with golden lighting and the decoration was so elegant and looked exquisite. Radhika Merchant was seen holding Shloka and Akasha’s son as she entered the house. The color combination for the decor gave a lavish and festive feel.
The theme of the ceremony
Let’s take a look at what everyone wore for the ceremony. The Ambanis, Merchants, and celebrities were spotted wearing shades of orange, pink, and a pinch of golden. The dress and the decor coordinated with the theme they had selected for the Mameru ceremony. Soon-to-be bride and groom entered a Vrath decorated with Animals because Anant Ambani loves animals and that emotion was beautifully captured by the paps.
Decoding the Outfits of the Family and Friends
The couple entered their Animal Vrath at the Mameru ceremony. Radhika was seen wearing an orange and pink ghagra. She looked stunning with minimal makeup, she dawned a long gold chain, a small necklace with a pair of earrings, and a Mangtikka. Radhika chooses to have a middle partition with plated hair and hair accessory. The look was very traditional and a go-to look for the bride. On the other hand, Anant wore an orange sherwani that coordinated with Radhika’s ghagra and wore an over kurta that had a sequin embroidery with a pinch of gold.
The Groom of the Mother Nita Ambani wore a Pink Banaras Ghagra with a heavy border. She wore emerald jewellery, with open hair. Nita Ambani was the center of attraction as she was seen holding an aarti thali, welcoming everyone to the ceremony.
Akash Ambani and Shloka Ambani also strike a pose at Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s Pre-wedding ceremony. The Childhood love birds looked amazing as they downed traditional attire. Shloka Ambani wore an orange and pink ghagra and styled their diamond jewelry. Akash Ambani chose a light shade of orange and pink sherwani and a traditional kurta.
Isha Ambani sister of Anant Ambani looked elegant at the Mameru ceremony. She posed with her Father Mukhesh Ambani, her children, and twin brother Akash Ambani. Isha chose to wear a Bandhani saree with a modern touch of ruffles—the statement Choker with emeralds, Maangtikka. Mukesh Ambani wore a light shade of pink sherwani and a traditional overcoat. Akash Ambani chose a light shade of orange sherwani and a traditional kurta.
Janhavi Kapoor and Shikhar Pahariya also attended the Mameru ceremony. Both looked beautiful in the coordinated outfits. Janhavi Kapoor daughter of Boney Kapoor and Late Sridevi Kapoor wore shades of Orange lehenga with a multi-coloured blouse. She styled her look with minimal makeup and a choker. Shikhar Pahariya wore a sequin blue kurta.

Manushi Chhillar former Miss World of 2017 was also present at the Mameru ceremony. She wore an orange saree with a sleeveless blouse and accessorized it with traditional jewellery. Manushi typed her hair with a middle partition low bun.
Orry the Instagram sensation was present at the pre-wedding rituals. He was seen wearing a blue sherwani with an overcoat. Orry was seen enjoying the traditional dhol, as he vibed to the Gujarati songs at the ceremony.
