Prime Minister Narendra Modi is currently visiting Varanasi to release the 17th installment of the PM-KISAN scheme. He will attend the PM Kisan Samman Sammelan after landing at the Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport in Babatpur around 4 pm.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, governor Anandiben Patel, Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, and several state ministers will attend the event.

Kisan Samman Nidhi worth INR 20,000 crores to be released
2,76,665 farmers will benefit from the release of the seventeenth installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme in Varanasi. 9.26 crore farmers are set to receive benefits of more than INR 20,000 crore. PM Modi will distribute certificates to over 30,000 SHGs trained as Krishi Sakhis.
The farmers will learn about good farming practices, new agricultural technologies, and climate-resilient farming. Tutorials about checking their PM-KISAN beneficiary, payment status, and usage of the Kisan-eMitra Chatbot will also be conducted. Trained Krishi Sakhis will receive the certificates from the Union Ministers.

PM Modi to visit Dashashwamedh Ghat and Kashi Vishwanath Temple
According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, over 2.5 crore farmers will attend this magnanimous event, along with 732 Krishi Vigyan Kendras, 1 lakh Primary Agricultural Cooperative Societies, and 5 lakh Common Service Centres nationwide.
“On the 50 selected Krishi Vikas Kendras (KVKs), a special event is being organized where a good number of farmers will join the event. On these centers, several Union Ministers will also visit and interact with the farmers,” the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare said.
PM Narendra Modi’s meeting with 21 farmers and reviewing of the farmer’s produce is also scheduled. PM Modi will witness the Ganga Aarti at Varanasi’s Dashashwamedh Ghat followed by a visit to the Kashi Vishwanath Temple.
